FLAV 1 is a highly concentrated, free-flowing, deep-frozen pelletized (DSF) lactic acid bacteria for direct inoculation into milk. This is used in the production of fresh fermented milk products such as sour cream, buttermilk, leben, quark, fresh cheese, cream cheese, and other applications that demand significant diacetyl flavor development, steady acid development, and minimal post-acidification.

**Do not thaw pouches of pellets prior to use**
Frozen culture in pouches thaws quickly, minimize exposure time outside of frozen conditions.
Pouch contents may settle over time due to varying pellet densities, which may result in inconsistent product performance if only a portion of the pouch is used. Therefore, it is very important that the entire contents of FLAV DIRECTTM series pellets be used when dosing.
