- Storage Information
- Store in a cool, clean, and dry location at 10oC to 25°C in the original jugs to avoid direct light contact and excess oxidation.
- Do not freeze. If the premix is frozen, the emulsion may separate and a decrease in the vitamin potency may occur.
- Solidification of triglycerides may occur at lower refrigeration temperatures.
- Handling Information
- Pre-mix should be used at room temperature in order to minimize fluctuations in addition rates due to viscosity changes with varying temperatures. Do not shake the vitamin pre-mix container. This will incorporate air, which can cause oxidation, vitamin dissipation and may affect the flow rate accuracy of the metering pump.
- To avoid vitamin potency loss it is recommended to flush the processing system with hot water so as to eliminate any residual cleaners and quaternary ammonium sanitizer, which could act as a very aggressive pro-oxidant.
