KAD-15 possesses an excellent property of inhibiting the activity of tyrosinase, an enzyme present in human skin, thereby hindering melanin formation. It has been demonstrated to be more effective than straight kojic acid in this regard. Additionally, it can produce remarkable effects in achieving even skin tone, combating age spots, pregnancy marks, freckles, and addressing general skin pigmentation disorders on both the face and body. Unlike kojic acid, which often causes product stability issues such as color changes, offers excellent stability without any color instability problems.

    • pH Stability: KAD-15™ isstable within a wide pH range of 3-10, which provides flexibility toformulators.
    • Color Stability. Unlike kojic acid, KAD-15™ does not turn brown or yellowover time for tworeasons.First, kojic acid is not stable to light and heat, and tends to oxidize, which results in color change(oftenyellowor brown). Second, kojic acid tends to chelate with metal ions (e.g. iron), which often results incolorchange.On the contrary, KAD-15™ is stable to pH, light, heat and oxidation, and does not complexwithmetalions,which lead to color stability.

    Formulation Guidelines

    KAD-15™ is easy to incorporate into all types of formulations. It is oil-soluble, and can be easily melted into oil-phase at 75-85℃, followed with immediate emulsification. Unlike kojic acid, which may not be compatible with some organic sunscreens and preservatives due to potential hydrogen bonding, KAD-15™ iscompatible with virtually all ingredients and is especially advantageous for use in combination with sun screens
