MAGNAFLOC® 455 is a polyacrylamide flocculant, distinguished by its high molecular weight and slight cationic properties, provided in the form of a free-flowing granular powder. Commonly employed in various mineral processing operations, including: acid leach CCD (uranium), metal hydroxide thickening and filtration, acid leach (zinc), base metal concentrates thickening and filtration.

    Magnafloc 455 has a low order of oral toxicity and does not present any abnormal problems in its handling or general use. However as with all cat- ionic polyelectrolytes the product exhibits toxicity towards fish. It is impor- tant that precautions are taken where the product may come into direct contact with fresh water courses, streams and rivers.
