- CX 14681 can be used in solvents or mineral oil for the production of non emulsifiable temporary rust preventives and dewatering fluids.
- After machining and alkalinic cleaning, CX 14681 will displace water from the metal surface and form a protective film which can be removed by alkaline cleaners.
- The usual dosage is between 5 – 20 wt.% in solvent or mineral oil.
- The rust protection may be improved by adding wax.
- The water displacing properties can be improved by adding 1 - 3% of DW 553.
- The blending temperature should be about 70 – 90°C.
