BEROL™ 609 is a nonionic surfactant engineered as a replacement for nonyl phenol 9 (NP9). Its primary application is to serve as a direct drop-in replacement for NP9 or NP10. It boasts similar surfactant properties, including a cloud point equal to NP9, while also offering improved handling characteristics such as a lower pour point and viscosity. Additionally, it dissolves much more rapidly in cold water. Importantly, using This product in existing formulations does not necessitate modifications to other components to maintain performance levels.
