    Polyfloat 7040 is a collector for difficult to treat ores including tarnished or rapidly oxidizing ores. It is usually added to a conditioning step or in some instances to the grinding mill to improve its dispersion. Polyfloat 7040 can be used in a wide pH range between 3 - 12.

    Polyfloat 7040 is used in the flotation of: 

    • Liberated gold, partly free and partly associated with pyrite and arsenopyrite.
    • Auriferous pyrite, in acid circuits.
    • Oxidized galena
    • Sphalerite 
    • Nickel
    • Copper ores, including when copper is oxidized or tarnished.

    Polyfloat 7040 can be used as a scavenger collector for improved recovery in combination with Xanthate.
