LOCTITE TW 070 1K is a Henkel resin-bonded lubricant coating designed to provide superior dry film lubrication and release properties in a variety of industrial and original equipment automotive applications. It is specifically formulated to provide a deep black and low gloss appearance, satisfying General Motors’ GLG0848 Black color and gloss specification, and Ford Motor Company’s YGYAXXJ Black, as examples. It provides a smoother texture than most similar coatings. It is especially well-suited to protect EDPM sponge rubber from abrasion for door seal applications, providing ice release and general seal protection performance. It is found to be an excellent solution for applications requiring squeak and itch suppression when general-purpose coatings are unable to perform to that expectation. It can also be effectively utilized for protection of glass runs and other dense EPDM applications. It is a two-component, water-based, resinbonded, fluoropolymer coating designed to be spray-applied onto hot rubber in-line extrusions, as well as onto warm substrates coated off-line. The cured coating is black in appearance, flexible, excellent in wear resistance, effective in suppressing squeak and itch, and non-abrasive to painted surfaces.
