Target Application:
Designed primarily for use in paper laminations where a high viscosity material is required to prevent the adhesive from diving into the paper substrate. This system can be used for paper/film and paper/foil packaging laminations. The cured adhesive will provide good heat resistance, heat seal and bond strength.
Other Applications:This adhesive also can be used for general-purpose food packaging laminations, health care, pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications.
The recommended method of application for this product is with a series of rubber and steel, smooth surface transfer rollers on a specially designed solventless adhesive laminator. The adhesive is heated, deposited onto the first two rollers, and metered by the remaining rollers in the application station (typically 3 to 5 rollers). To improve the flow characteristics of the adhesive, heat the first two rollers to 185 - 212°F (85 - 100°C). The final application roller should be heated to approximately the same temperature or slightly higher. Modifications of these temperatures may be required depending on line speed, substrates, and roller size.
- Heater, °F (°C) - 140 to 175 (60 to 80)
- Hose, °F (°C) - 140 to 175 (60 to 80)
- Metering Rollers, °F (°C) - 185 to 212 (85 to 100)
- Application Roller, °F (°C) - 185 to 212 (85 to 100)
- Nip Roller, °F (°C) - 180 (82)
- Rewind, °F (°C) - 85 to 105 (29 to 40)

Preliminary Statement:
- Prior to application it is necessary to read the Safety Data Sheet for information about precautionary measures and safety recommendations. Also, for chemical products exempt from compulsory labeling, the relevant precautions should always be observed. Please also refer to the local safety instructions and contact Henkel for analytical support.
Adhesive Selection:
- The selection of the adhesive system, substrates, and process conditions are critical to the success of the final structure. Thorough qualification on your equipment and substrates is recommended before commercial production begins.
- Note: Although not common, some high slip containing films, EVA films, PA films and white-pigmented PE films may contribute to the migration of monomeric MDI with this adhesive system. This can have a detrimental effect on the final sealing ability of the lamination and result in anti-seal. You should thoroughly pre-test the laminations.

Packaging & Availability
Storage & Handling
- Storage Conditions
- Containers of the adhesive should not remain open for an extended period of time. Material from opened containers should be consumed within a short period. It is necessary to use all the adhesive, once the container is opened, unless there is means of purging the container with dry nitrogen. When stored in normal warehousing conditions in the original unopened containers, storage life is as follows: LOCTITE® LIOFOL® LA 7910 - 12 months
- Protective Measures
- The adhesive, as received, has chemically active Isocyanate groups that will react with water, alcohols, amines, and similar materials containing active hydrogen groups.
- Reseal containers and keep them tightly closed to maximize the storage life.
- Nitrogen purging of original containers will have a similar effect.
